*Positivity *Food *Exercise *Spirituality *Purpose - Let Go of the Outcome and Surrender

I now understand more and more that control is an illusion. Every time I think I know what is happening, from a spiritual perspective, things turn again. The answer is to be like a leaf on the water, just going where the current takes you.

All the images of outcomes I have been holding onto have been crumbling.

Cherry, aka Fat Dog, has a brain tumour and is not expected to live long.

I’m soon being put on some hard core meds when I was hoping to heal naturally and a potential stem cell transplant is looking like a real possibility.

I have got the food thing well under control now and have started to lose weight but now they are putting me on meds with side effects which affect weight.

I’m learning that it is all ok and to go with the flow.

The book, “Cherry and Irene Go on a Diet” which started as a book and then half way through morphed into this blog has no clear goal now and that is ok.

Cherry is still fat and is dying from a brain tumour and that is ok.

I’m still fat and unwell and potentially will continue losing weight because of my diet but also because of the meds and that is ok. Jason and I giggled when reading the side effects of meds which included loss of appetite and weight loss… hey, at this point of surrender I really don’t care. I’ll take it any way I can get it.

AND SO I SURRENDER!!! I have no idea what the outcome is but I will do my best to joyfully tread this path. Our job is not to question why, it is just to ride the wave of life and let it take us where it will.

I have not sat down and not played the game, that would be a waste, I have been, and still am, an active participant in this journey…. I am continuing on with the 10 steps but I just let go of the need for a specific outcome because I have no f*&king idea what the outcome looks like.
