*Remedies *Intuition *Food - Borage

I have been sucking down green smoothies like crazy. To help with my habit I have purchased heaps of organic seeds and seedlings for any green leafy edible plant that I can find. In fact, I think I need to go to “Seed Purchasers Anonymous” as my last purchase totalled over $200 and would require me to live on a 20 acre property rather than my quarter acre block (which is mostly bush). I’ve been sharing the seeds around and regularly sit at a kitchen table, with lots of little bags, dispensing seeds to neighbours. From the outside looking in, it would appear that I’m running some kind of illicit drug business.

One of the plants in my veggie garden, purchased as a seedling, is called Borage. Until yesterday I had not realised it was edible. I purchased it because the lady at the markets said the pretty purple flowers attract bees. I’ve been picking leaves off every other plant in the garden but the Borage was untouched.

Yesterday, I had a thought while I was foraging “I wonder if the Borage leaves are edible”. A quick look confirmed they were, so I threw a few in with yesterdays smoothie.

Today I woke up and had a weird thought in my head (my first waking thought). The thought was “check out the medicinal properties of Borage”. Strange thought really as I have not been looking at the medicinal properties of the things in my garden, well, not for a long time and I couldn’t tell you what past research had uncovered on any plant or herb.

I lay in bed and got the phone out and searched “borage medicinal uses” and this is what came up:

“Borage flower and leaves are used for fever, cough, and depression. Borage is also used for a hormone problem called adrenal insufficiency, for “blood purification”, to increase urine flow, to prevent inflammation of the lungs, as a sedative and to promote sweating.”

I love getting clear assistance from Universal energies. Lung inflammation is my biggest issue right now.

Needless to say I’ll be getting some more Borage plants on the weekend.
