*Food *Intuition - A different type of Kinesiology

Since 22nd November, 2015, the start of my journey writing about diet, I have been digging; trying; crying; pushing; shoving; paying attention to; often ignoring; on track; off track; confused; sad and quite often down right lost and hopeless regarding the question “What should I be eating?”.

I have been vegan; vegetarian; paleo; gluten free; calorie controlled; low carb and lengthy stages in between when I find myself falling into large piles of donuts and ice cream (very very lengthy periods). At one stage I even purchased 1/4 of a whole cow, loaded up the freezer, and was considering only eating beef.

I have managed to energetically put so many foods and ways of eating into my limbic system as “danger… do not eat!!!… bad…will harm you” that the list of “can eat” is so small and “can’t eat” is just frigging huge, causing me to have out of control inflammation in my body when I don’t adhere to the impossible diet. When I was just typing inflammation I accidentally wrote “out of control inflation in my body”. Well that is pretty accurate as well, my weight has ballooned to around 95kg right now.

Even considering all the above, I DON’T CARE!!

Right now I’m elated as I can feel I’m 100% on track even though all evidence shows the world otherwise. There is no doubt in my mind!

My friend Kristine Goetz had told me a while ago of a Kinesiologist, who she had seen, called Michelle Anderson (ph 0403 477 845). I had been waiting for synchronicities to direct me to her but nothing came. In general, I had noticed that the synchronicities were not coming anymore and felt I may be off track. That was until I was told by Kate, my Reiki practitioner and spiritual counsellor, that I do not need the synchronicities anymore as I have moved past that. I just have to follow my intuition and trust my feelings.

With this knowledge I just knew I needed to see Michelle and so I made an appointment.

I saw Michelle last Friday, for the first time. I have been to Kinesiologists before and worked with muscle testing. It is truly magic! The first part of the session was no surprise. Muscle test to find out what I’m reacting to (food / supplements / minerals / environmental things etc.). Generally the next phase is “avoid it all”. That is the bit I have trouble with. Avoiding 80% of the beautiful foods on the planet never really sat well with me. That is not the end game with Michelle. Michelle works to clear the allergies or intolerances. While holding a vile containing the essence of the offending allergen, Michelle does weird stuff to your spine. Don’t ask me what it was, it was weird, but hey I didn’t care, I just knew it was right.

My body would only tolerate two allergens being treated (the muscle testing was very clear on this). Then I was told “you just need to totally avoid the foods for 25 hours”. OMG, clear an allergen within 25 hours. Frigging unbelievable!!! A thought then crossed my mind as I looked at Michelle “geesh I’m glad she isn’t old as I want to see her forever, and if she were old she could die or retire and that would be bad”. I giggled and, right or wrong, shared my thought with Michelle.

So treatment one was last Friday morning, no egg or vegetable fat for 25 hours (my first two energetic food issues). How hard could it be?

Friday night fine.

Saturday 5am WHOLLY F&$KING MOTHER F#&KER - I couldn’t move. My head was exploding. I felt like vomiting. I couldn’t lift my arms off the bed. Death seemed like a good option. I lay there unmoving till 9am when it all disappeared and I was fine. What the hell was that?

Saturday day fine.

Saturday evening fine.

Sunday morning 5am WHAT THE F*&K MOTHER F*#KER - I couldn’t move again. Same thing 5am - 9am same symptoms. All cleared up at 9am.

Perfectly fine since then.

I get why my body said it could only handle treating two foods on day one. Any more and I would have been in an ambulance on my way to hospital.

At the end of my first session, and being fully aware of the long list of foods that were causing me issues, I advised Michelle that it wouldn’t be possible to stick to the elimination diet until all the foods could be treated (as that would take months) which Michelle agreed on. Therefore Saturday and Sunday I, with the obvious consent I believed I received from Michelle on Friday, stuffed my face with anything and everything… well it was part of the plan wasn’t it!

By Sunday evening, feeling a bit sick, I woke up to myself. Regardless of having to eat some foods that energetically may not be perfect for me right now, being totally honest, that doesn’t mean stuff my face like a little kid at the Easter Show. I then regretted eating a bag of lollies; ice cream; snickers bars and chips.

Today, Monday 29th, was a healthy choice food day. I prepared yummy and healthy food options for myself. All was going well. Breakfast done. Lunch prepared (a lovely vinegar bruchetta on crackers). While chewing, and preparing the next cracker, I decided I needed to blow my nose. F*&K ME!! I forgot that the mouth and nose are connected. I somehow managed to blast vinegar into my nasal cavity. Oh, the pain! Mental note, don’t put vinegar in your nose again! On the upside, my sinuses were very clear after that.

Michelle has also given me a suggestion on the diets that could be best for people. The suggestion Eat Right 4 Your Type a book by Dr Peter J D’Adamo. Now I haven’t read it yet but Michelle mentioned that the author, a doctor, noticed groups of patients coming to him all having similar diseases, based on their blood types. He then devised a diet protocol for each blood type. I can’t tell you more at this stage but it just feels right to me. I felt “at home” with everything I had learnt last Friday.

And so the journey continues. Further to go but I feel like I’m 100% on the right path for me and the trajectory is positive.
